ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN IN LE GENERALISTE REVIEW

The project team launched an advertising campaign via Le Généraliste, a medical journal sent to 26,000 physician subscribers. This campaign aims to promote the online training on the certification of causes of death.

TRAINING ON CERTIFICATION OF CAUSES OF DEATH - REGISTRATION OPEN

Doctors, medical students and anyone interested in participating in the online training course on certification of causes of death can register until 24 March via this form.

The aim of the training is to improve practical skills in filling in death certificates with regard to medical causes. The training will also cover different aspects of interest to doctors and future doctors, for example the content of the classification of causes of death, the recommendations made by the World Health Organisation and DREES, and the most frequent errors to be avoided when filling in the medical certificate.

The training, in the form of a MOOC, is free and open to all. It is estimated to last 2-3 hours and lasts until 7 April 2023.

CAUSE OF DEATH CERTIFICATION TRAINING - MOOC

We invite physicians, medical students and all interested persons to participate in the online training on the certification of causes of death. The objective of the training is to improve practical skills in the completion of death certificates with regard to medical causes. The training will also cover different aspects of interest to doctors and future doctors, for example the content of the classification of causes of death, the recommendations made by the World Health Organization and Drees or the most frequent errors to avoid when filling in the medical certificate.

The training, in the form of a MOOC, is free and open to all. Its duration is estimated at 2-3 hours.

MULTIPLIER EVENT - DECEMBER 2022

The CODA-EU team was hosted by the Superior School of Technology of Saude in Lisbon (Ecola Superior de Tecnologia da Saude de Lisboa) in order to present the e-learning materials to which researchers from the university (Amadeu Borges-Ferro and Sara Loureiro Brandão) contributed. Good practices in certification were presented to the project members and Portuguese students by Francesco Grippo from ISTAT (Instituto Nazionale di Statistica in Italy), a distinguished expert in certification of causes of death in Europe, a WHO advisor, and a member of the advisory board of the CODA-EU project.

INTERNAL MEETING IN ABERTA UNIVERSITY - DECEMBER 6 2022

A part of the project team met at the Aberta University, in Lisbon, on December 6, 2022.  The teams of the Portuguese university will conduct the training in Portugal. The Portuguese version of the e-learning is currently being tested and will be officially launched in March 2023.

CODA PROJECT AT EPC 2022

The European Population Conference (EPC) took place from June 29 to July 2, 2022 in Groningen, The Netherlands. A poster session was held virtually on June 30. Agnieszka Fihel presented her poster Cause-of-Death Data and The Most Important Sources of Their Deficiencies.

The poster presented the objective of the project, the methods used and the results of the first quizzes.

MULTIPLIER EVENT - JUNE 2022

Dr.Agnieszka Fihel and Pr. Janusz Kocik gave a lecture during the multiplier event gathering medical students from University of Ioannina School of Medicine.

INTERNAL MEETING IN IOANNINA UNIVERSITY

The team project gathered in Ioannina University on June 2-3 2022 to discuss the preparation phase of the pilot training. It also was the opportunity to schedule the next phase of the pilot in all the countries involved in the project. 

The next internal meeting will take in December in Lisboa.
